What Does Being Subluxated Cost?

 

When someone is choosing to begin, or even continue with, chiropractic visits, cost is always a part of the equation. As part of figuring this out, it may be helpful to keep in mind that there is also a cost to not receiving chiropractic care.

 

Vertebral subluxations (spinal misalignments) interfere with your nerve system, and the nerve system is what is used to express life and control and coordinate everything in the body. As a result, interference to the nerve system can affect everything, including your wallet.

 

If you have nerve interference it could decrease your energy level. This may cause you to perform sub-par at work. Maybe you don't make that sale at the end of the day or your boss passes you up for a raise or promotion, because of your lowered performance.

Another study presented at the International Research And Philosophy Symposium held at Sherman College of Chiropractic demonstrated this brain boosting effect of chiropractic adjustments.(2) The study was conducted over a three year period with approximately 100 volunteers. Their brain functions were monitored with electroencephalograms (EEG) before and after chiropractic adjustments.  After receiving a chiropractic adjustment, post EEG scans revealed improvement in all areas of the volunteer’s brain function. Brain function is measured on four primary frequencies: Alpha, Beta, Theta and Delta. Alpha waves reflect the meditative, relaxing healing mode. Beta waves represent the active, busy brain. Theta waves reflect light sleep, relaxation and conceptual development. Delta waves represent the brain activity during deep sleep, repair mode and energy storage. Particularly, the researchers noticed an increase in the meditative Alpha brainwave patterns that are associated with a greater degree of relaxation, health and healing.

 

Scientific and medical research continues to confirm what the chiropractic pioneers knew well over one hundred years ago.
