Hustle and
Bustle:
I see it every year. As practice members gear up for the
holidays, I often see a rise in missed appointments. Before you allow the hustle and bustle of the season to interfere with your commitment to better health, consider this:
Lost momentum. Since each visit builds on the ones before, missing a visit or two can jeopardize your progress. Like interrupting an exercise program, your spine is inclined to
return to its former, unhealthy subluxation patterns.
Increased stress. The emotional stress, houseguests, and holiday preparations are simply magnified by the chemical stress of rich foods, alcohol, and over indulgence. Regularly
reducing stress to your nerve system with chiropractic care these next few weeks can help you adapt and accommodate to the increased stress levels. It is often during the times when "we're too
busy" that we need care the most.
Pamper yourself. Your health is your most valuable possession. Take time out to renew and refresh yourself. Think of the office as a refuge; a sanctuary to revitalize
yourself. You'll return to your commitments not only stronger, but healthier and able to fully enjoy this special time of year.
Avoid the crash. Many of the health problems that prompt New Year's resolutions reach the tipping point these next few weeks. Taking care of yourself now will pay dividends
later.
Those of you that are committed to care and do not miss your visits already know that your commitment provides you with all the benefits necessary to get you through this holiday season with good
health and vitality. If it's been awhile since your last visit, this stressful holiday season is the ideal time to stop in for a chiropractic "tune up." Enhance your ability to enjoy the season
by being at your best. Pop in during a time that's convenient for you. I'll be here to serve you.
