Maintenance - Problem - Crisis:
At a recent family gathering, a relative from out of town was discussing how everyone she knew had problems with their spine and wanted my thoughts on the issue.
Without getting into too much detail, I just explained the concept that if something requires maintenance (like the spine), and is neglected, it will always develop a problem (subluxation).
Problems (subluxations) are almost always initially silent, but they always cause disharmony in the way the body functions.
When enough damage from the problem hits a threshold, a crisis stage occurs (symptoms). Symptoms are usually in the crisis stage.
The key fundamental to understand is that at a bare minimum you need to maintain your spinal alignment to help prevent problems (subluxations) and potential crisis (symptoms). However, being subluxation-free can help improve your life in ways you can’t even begin to understand.
